Our Mission
At J Bar K Farms, we offer affordable horse boarding solutions tailored to fit individual needs, additionally we offer private and semi-private riding lessons, horsemanship programs and Youth Get Started programs designed to increase self-confidence and self-acceptance in a safe and nurturing environment.
We are very excited to announce the upcoming build of an Indoor arena in May of 2026!
The addition will allow us to offer lessons year-round as well as introduce a science based Performance horse conditioning program designed to ensure our equines are performing at the top of their class!

About the owners
About Us
J Bar K Farms is Owned and operated by Jason (Jay) and Kristen, who have been building their dream farm together since 2017. Jay, an experienced cattleman and Kristen an experienced horsewoman. Together they compete in a sport called Team Penning which takes them all over the province and to National competitions in Alberta. One of their most notable accolades was the 2024 #7 Class National Championship win - 347 teams, best of 4 rounds.
Kristen has owned horses and has competed in a variety of different disciplines for 30+ years. Today Kristen brings her many years of experience and knowledge to her own programs being offered, please check out the lesson programs page to learn more and to register.
